Blue Ocean Wireless said today that Bank of Scotland Ireland has acquired a 10% equity stake in it, valuing the company at $48m.
Bank of Scotland (Ireland) paid $4.8m to acquire the 10% stake in the Irish company.
Blue Ocean provides mobile communications to the merchant maritime sector.
Blue Ocean is a joint venture between Claret Capital, a private equity group, and Altobridge, a Tralee-based technology group.
