The Irish Times has bought 30% of listings website entertainment.ie. It is thought the deal is worth €1.5m, which values the website at around €5m.
This follows the purchase last year by the Irish Times of property website Myhome.ie for €50m.
Entertainment.ie provides listings for over 5,000 venues throughout the 32 counties.
It was also announced today that Dermot Hanrahan, shareholder in entertainment.ie and former FM104 CEO, will now take up a new position as Executive Chairman of Entertainment Ireland.
