Dublin-listed mobile phone group Getmobile has reported operating profits of €1.6m for last year, though pre-tax figures were hit by one-off charges.
Turnover was €63.6m, ahead of market expectations. The figures were not directly comparable with 2005 as the group changed its reporting period.
Pre-tax losses were €54.4m, mainly because of an impairment provision of €54m. This followed a review of the value of goodwill on its main business following two profit warnings.
Getmobile sells mobile phone contracts in Germany, mainly through television, but now plans to increase its focus on internet distribution. The company said it expected to be profitable this year.
