Artix sales lead Iona turnaround

Software group Iona Technologies has reported total revenue of $77.8m for last year, an increase of 17% compared with 2005. Sales in the final three months of the year were up 19% to $22.8m.

Net profits for the year were $2.5m, while profits in the fourth quarter were $2.9m. Iona reported a loss of nearly $1m in 2005.

CEO Peter Zotto said he was pleased with the group's progress, citing in particular a doubling in revenue from its key product Artix.

After initial gains following the results, shares in the company closed down 10 cent at €4 in Dublin.
