Associated Newspapers Ireland is to sell its classified advertising magazine Buy & Sell.
Associated's managing director Kevin Beatty said it had decided to focus entirely on its Irish newspaper publications, and Buy & Sell would be better served in the hands of a new owner. Associated owns the Irish Daily Mail and Irish Mail on Sunday and is also involved in Dublin's Metro freesheet.
'Buy & Sell is a very successful free ad publication and is in an excellent position to achieve even further growth within the Irish marketplace,' he said, adding that the company would continue investing in its Irish newspaper titles.
According to latest figures, the classified magazine has a circulation of 83,332 and it carries up to 50,000 free ads per week.
