BSkyB said that for quarter to the end of September, subscribers to Sky digital in Ireland increased by 3.2%, or 14,000, in the three months.
The total of Sky customers in Ireland at 30 September was 441,000.
Sky said the number of net customer additions was 55% higher than in the three months to September 2005.
Across the UK and Ireland, the total number of Sky's direct-to-home (DTH) digital satellite subscribers was 8.258 million, representing a net increase of 82,000 in the quarter.
The company reported a revenue increase of 11% to £1.07 billion and said churn, or percentage of customers who dropped their subscriptions, was 11.8%. In the three months operating profit was €264m.
In the first statement on its new broadband service, BSkyB said it had 113,000 broadband orders and within that 74,000 were active customers. It said it had around one million registrations of interest in the service as of October 31.
The investment into the fiercely competitive broadband market drove down pre-tax profit however, but the 17% fall to £166m sterling was within analyst forecasts.
BSkyB, which is 39% owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, has said it plans to invest £400m over three years on its entry to the broadband market. It is only available when bundled with Sky's pay-TV service. BSkyB launched the broadband service in July.
