More jobs are to be cut at the Motorola mobile networks plant in Cork. It is thought that up to 60 jobs could go on top of the 30 positions that were cut last July.
Motorola employs about 400 staff in software development at its plant at Mahon in Cork.
'Motorola is in discussions with its staff in Cork regarding the future requirements on the site. As always Motorola is committed to communicating directly with its people,' a spokesman for the company said.
The company would not comment publicly on numbers, but it is understood the company told staff that around 60 jobs would be cut.
