No dramatic shifts in latest JNLR figures

The latest JNLR/TNS mrbi figures show that 85% of the adult population listened to a daily mix of national, regional and local radio throughout the country in the period from July 2005 to June 2006. This figure is unchanged from the period from April 2005 to March 2006.

The survey shows minor flucations in the weekday reach figures at a national level compared with the previous period. RTE Radio 1 achieved a reach of 24%, down a point. RTE 2FM was also a point lower at 19%. Today FM and Lyric FM maintained their reach figures at 15% and 3% respectively.

In the Dublin radio market, increases in reach were recorded by FM 104 at 22%, up a point. 98FM gained two points to 18% while Spin 1038 was up a point to 12%. Q102's reach figure fell a point to 11%, while both Newstalk 106 and Dublin's Country Mix maintained reach figures of 8% and 6% respectively.

For the majority of local stations reach data remained largely unchanged. In the top five, Highland Radio's reach at 72% was unchanged, while Limerick's Live 95FM was down a point at 64%. Ocean FM's reach slipped three points to 60%, while Shannonside/Northern Sound was down two points to 57%. Radio Kerry was also down a point to 55%.
