Norkom to float in Dublin and London

Dublin-based financial software group Norkom is to seek a stock market listing in Dublin and London next month.

The company provides software which helps financial institutions to combat fraud and other types of financial crime. Norkom's customers include HSBC, AIB, Rabobank and National Australia Group.

The company said its revenues had grown by nearly 50% to €18m in the year to the end of March, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation in the same period were €3.3m. It employs 135 people.

CEO Paul Kerley said the company was looking at accelerating its growth through the consolidation of competitors in the US and Europe. He said a listing on the AIM in London and Dublin's IEX would provide Norkom with access to capital to enable it to carry out this strategy.

The company shelved plans for a flotation in late 2000 as technology stocks weakened.
