Denis O'Brien's mobile group Digicel has completed the acquisition of the Caribbean subsidiary of Bouygues Telecom.
Digicel has paid €155m for Bouygues Telecom Caraibe, which has assets in Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana.
The subsidiary has more than 160,000 subscribers and recorded revenues of €117m last year. The deal means Digicel will now operate in 20 markets in the Caribbean region.
