Jagran Prakashan Limited, an associate company of Independent News and Media, has reported an increase of 28% in total income for the last financial year.
Net profit increased significantly from 12.3 million rupees in 2004/2005 to 320.1 million rupees for 2005/2006.
Independent News and Media has a 20.8% stake in the company, which is the publisher of India's largest circulating newspaper, Dainik Jagran.
