The general manager of Shannonside FM has resigned his position.
Speaking to RTE, Richard Devlin, who had been chief executive with the station until it was bought by Kerry Radio last August, said he resigned his position last week.
Mr Devlin had been with the station for the last 11 years. He held a 10% stake in the station at the time of its sale to Radio Kerry. No official purchase price for Shannonside was disclosed, but a figure of €6m was quoted in the media at the time.
Mr Devlin said his departure from the station was amicable.
Shannonside is based in Longford and also owns Northern Sound, which serves Cavan and Monaghan.
