US chip technology company Actel has set up a research and development centre in Dublin, backed by IDA Ireland.
Actel's Fares Mubarak said the availability of designers with in-depth experience made Dublin an appropriate choice for the centre.
The investment, the first by the company in Ireland, is expected to create a small number of jobs at the facility, which will be based at the Capel Building off Capel Street.
