WPP, the world's second-largest advertising and marketing company, has reported full-year pre-tax profits of £669m, up 36% on the previous year, following its acquisition of Grey Global in the US.
The company, home to ad agencies Young & Rubicam and JWT, said reported revenue rose 25% to £5.4 billion, with like-for-like revenue up 5.5%. The figures were ahead of expectations.
WPP said it expected its business to grow by 4-5% in 2006. It said the year should benefit from the World Cup, the Winter Olympics and the US Congressional elections.
