Dublin mobile phone technology company ChangingWorlds has won the overall DHL Exporter of the Year 2005 Award.
The company's technology is used by 30 leading mobile companies, including Vodafone and O2.
Enterprise, Trade & Employment Minister Micheal Martin presented the firm with €5,000 worth of international shipments and €10,000 towards overseas marketing at a ceremony in Dublin today.
The company was founded in 1999 to capitalise on research carried out at UCD. ChangingWorlds' technology builds up a profile for each individual subscriber and adapts the operator's menu to suit the user's interests. The company has recently opened offices in the US and Malaysia and employs 70 people.
The other four finalists were Alltracel Pharmaceuticals, Connemara Seafoods, Datacare Software Group from Monaghan and Cavan's Foamalite.
