Internet service provider Digiweb has announced plans for an €8.5m expansion of its broadband and voice business.
It will build 20 new locations for its Metro service in Ireland this year. Metro is a wireless product which offers high speed internet access as well as a phone service for home and business users. Each Metro site can cover an area equivalent to 80 square kilometres.
The company's aim is to make Metro available to 60% of the population by 2006. Digiweb says the move follows the successful launch of Metro in six locations.
