Google in talks on AOL - reports

Reports from the US say media group Time Warner is in exclusive talks with Google on its online division AOL. A source quoted by the Reuters news agency said the talks were about the search engine company's broadening a partnership with AOL.

The talks would imply that Microsoft, once considered the front-runner for a deal with AOL, is now out of the running. Neither Google nor Time Warner spokesmen would comment.
