A US software company is to set up a technical support centre in Ballincollig, Co Cork, creating 78 new jobs.
VMware, a subsidiary of data storage giant EMC, is involved in systems which allow companies to reduce their IT costs by storing technology more efficiently.
Its new centre, backed by IDA Ireland, will cover the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions software engineering graduates and post-graduates.
Enterprise, Trade & Employment Minister Micheal Martin described VMware as a very important addition to the Irish software sector.
