BT Ireland has reported turnover of €372m for the year to the end of March, up 29% on the previous year. There was a particularly strong performance in the business market, with growth of 35% in this sector.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation increased by 13% to €43m, with the company generating its first operating profit in the final quarter.
The company said it had reduced costs by 4% in the year. BT Ireland also said it would unbundle a further 13 Eircom exchanges by the end of the year.
CEO Bill Murphy also announced today that all BT Ireland staff outside of sales teams would receive a 13% bonus payment in recognition for the strong set of results.
