UK deal swells ThirdForce sales

E-learning group ThirdForce has reported pre-tax losses of around €300,000 for last year, almost unchanged from the previous year.

Turnover jumped by 55% to €12m, however, in the first full year of trading for the enlarged group after its acquisition of Electric Paper.

The company said a key factor in the improvement had been its joint venture with school book publisher Harcourt Education in the UK, announced in June.

ThirdForce said it made an operating profit, before goodwill amortisation and exceptional items, of €1.8m, compared with €350,000 a year earlier. Earnings per share were 1.03 cent, after a loss of 0.05 cent the previous year.
