€29m investment to create 500 jobs

An investment of €29m by Enterprise Ireland is to create nearly 500 jobs in 17 Irish companies over the next three years.

Enterprise, Trade & Employment Minister Micheal Martin welcomed the spread of the jobs, with 14 of the companies involved located outside Dublin. €17m of the investment is linked to research and development activities in nine of the companies.

The R&D investments are:

Burnside Hydracyl (Ballymoon) Ltd, Bagenalstown, Carlow (18 jobs); Burnside Eurocyl Ltd, Carlow (23); Combilift Limited, Clontibret, Monaghan (52); Dromone Engineering Ltd, Dromone, Oldcastle, Meath (20); H2H Care Limited, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin (39); JFC Manufacturing Company Ltd, Weir Road, Tuam, Co Galway (47); Mergon International Limited, Castlepollard, Westmeath (7); Prime Carrier Ltd, The Guinness Enterprise Centre, Taylor's Lane, Dublin (20); Sigma Wireless Technologies, Finglas, Dublin 11 (72).

The other investments are:
