Britain's Carphone Warehouse expects interim pre-tax profits of at least £27m sterling. First half trading is ahead of expectations on the back of a buoyant market, Europe's number one mobile phone retailer said in a trading statement today.
The firm said its TalkTalk fixed line service had 648,000 users in the UK by the end of the second quarter on September 25 and was profitable after all costs in August and September.
Mobile subscription connections were up over 18% to 6890,000 during the second quarter, the firm added.
