Software group Iona Technologies has reported net losses of $1.9m for the second quarter of this year. The losses had been signalled in an update from the company earlier this month.

Revenues were $15.2m. Iona had recorded a small profit in the first quarter on sales of $16.9m.

The company said it expected revenues of $15-17m in the third quarter, with total expenses of $16-17m.

CEO Chris Horn said IT buyers had been more cautious than expected in adopting new technologies such as its web services product Artix. He said he was confident Artix would be successful in the long term.
