More money for all-island tech plan

Cross-border trade and development body InterTradeIreland is to expand its FUSION scheme to involve 130 additional companies.

InterTradeIreland has made €13.6m available to help companies with specific technology needs.

FUSION is an all-island initiative which develops and supports partnerships between industry and third level institutions. 16 of the 65 companies originally signed up for FUSION have completed their projects.

FUSION projects can run for up to 24 months, and the programme is aimed at increasing innovation within the SME sector.
