Tanaiste Mary Harney has officially opened online auction firm EBay's Dublin operations.
EBay and its subsidiary PayPal plan to employ up to 800 people at a facility in Blanchardstown in west Dublin. It has already reruited 200 people.
The company announced last September that it had chosen Dublin as the location for its European customer support centre.
