Western Wireless, the US owner of Meteor, reported full year results last night.
It said its Irish mobile operation added 24,600 customers in the last quarter and now has 180,600 customers. Virtually all of these pre-paid.
Western Wireless revenues amounted to $413.6m in the final quarter of 2003, up 36% on the same period a year earlier, while net profits were just over $2m, after a loss of $23m in the same quarter of 2002.
