Software group Iona Technologies has reported net losses of $5m for its fourth quarter, a figure which includes a $6.6m restructuring charge. Fourth quarter sales were $23.4m, down on the same period last year, but 73% ahead of the third quarter.
CEO Chris Horn said he was pleased with the performance, adding that interest in its web services product Artix was growing.
For the year as a whole, net losses were reduced from $369m in 2002 to $44.2m. The 2003 figure included $20.5 in restructuring costs. Revenue for 2003 fell to $74.2m from $123.2m.
Iona shares closed up 40 cent at €6 in Dublin.
