180 workers at a Castlebar based call centre who didn't recieve their Christmas pay have been assured this evening that their jobs are not at risk.
Management at the UK owned Knexus company said the difficulty arose because a merger was taking place with a Shannon based company, Contact Partners Ltd, and new banking arrangements were being put in place.
A spokesman also said that the company would be creating an extra 50 jobs in the Castlebar call centre over the next six to eight weeks.
This evening workers said they were relieved by the news.
The company apologised to all its staff and said that they would help their workers who had encountered hardship as a result of the delay.
