Siemens Business Services has announced it will create a further 60 jobs as part of the latest recruitment phase at its Customer Interaction Centre in Cork.
Siemens is expanding its operations offering outsourced IT helpdesk services to global companies from the Cork centre.
Derek Wilson, the managing director at Siemens Business Services said: 'The jobs will be at the skilled high-end of the IT Services market and represent an important contract win for us providing IT Helpdesk services to a large global customer.'
He said the firm feels Ireland is an excellent location to form part of Siemens' global service offering, givng the right mix of people and technology necessary to meet clients' present and future demands.
So far 20 of the positions have been filled and recruitment is underway for the remaining 40, bringing the number of employees in Siemens Business Services in Ireland to 400, with 200 based in Cork.
