The world's biggest chip maker, Intel, has raised its revenue target for the third quarter.
In a statement today Intel said it had raised the target to a range of $7.3 billion to $7.8 billion. It said it was making the move because of higher gross profit margin and strength at its Architecture Group unit.
This is the core division which builds computer microchips, chipsets and motherboards.
Earlier Intel had forecast quarterly revenue in a range of $6.9 billion to $7.5 billion.
