Calyx gathers Moss in €5m deal

Communications company Calyx has acquired network maintenance company Moss Technology for more than €5m.

Calyx consists of four separate companies and is involved in voice and data communications and training. Three of the Calyx companies were part of telecoms group ITG until a management buy-out by Maurice Healy in 2002.

The new group will employ around 200 people and will have a combined turnover of nearly €60m. Under the deal, Moss will move to the Calyx headquarters in Santry in Dublin.

Calyx says the acquisition is the first of a number it intends to make in the Irish and UK markets.
