22 leading technology firms are offering over 120 job placements to help graduates who cannot find jobs because of the global downturn in information technology.
ICT Ireland, which represents high tech industry, fears that students have lost confidence in the sector.
It hopes the graduate placement scheme will encourage second and third level students to select science courses, so that skilled graduates will be available when economic circumstances improve.
