Western Wireless, the US owner of Irish mobile group Meteor, made a total loss of $22m in the first three months of the year. Its international businesses, including Meteor, lost $36m in the period.
The company said the recent quarter had been Meteor's strongest since its launch. Meteor will shortly be launching a suite of GPRS products.
