Consulting company Accenture is to increase its Irish work-force by 150 by the end of the year.
The new jobs will be concentrated in Accenture's operations in Dublin. The company already employs 800 people here.
The company said the new jobs are being created in response to increased demand for its services and will cover a broad range of areas, including software development, web services, business process, IT outsourcing and application management.
Today's jobs announcement was made by Tanaiste Mary Harney and co-incided with her visit to Chicago, where she met with senior Accenture officials.
'The company's decision to further expand its Irish operations fully reinforces our attractiveness as a key location for major high quality investors,' the Tanaiste said.
