British telecoms group Cable & Wireless has announced that its chief executive, Graham Wallace, is leaving the company as part of a boardroom shake-up.
C&W, whose share price plunged 87% last year, said Wallace would remain in charge of the firm's day-to-day operations until his successor was chosen.
Non-executive director Rob Rowley would also take interim responsibility for the group's finance director, David Prince, the firm said.
Calls for the departure of Mr Wallace have grown in recent months after C&W was forced to overhaul its core business in the face of the telecoms slowdown.
