The price of the Irish Independent has increased for the second time in just three months.
The price of the paper was increased by 5 cents to €1.45 this week, following another 5 cent increase in October.
NCB stockbrokers estimates the price increases across the range of Independent News & Media (INM) titles will increase revenues by €3m this year.
In a report NCB said that INM had used the 1% increase in VAT rates as "an opportunity to push up cover prices on most of its titles".
