Norkom raises €3m in funding

Dublin-based software company Norkom has raised €3.1m in funding from existing shareholders, including lead investor Trinity Venture Capital.

The company, which called off plans to float a couple of years ago, also said it had signed five deals in the US and Europe in the past three months, worth over €5m in total.

The contracts include a seven figure deal in the US with ING Direct, the retail banking arm of financial services group ING. Norkom specialises in customer relationship management (CRM) and risk management technology.

Norkom CEO Paul Kerley said the company had come through a restructuring over the last couple of years, but was now seeing a broad recovery in its markets. He said Norkom was winning a lot of business particularly in the financial sector, as banks were aiming to improve their risk management systems.
