Late last night Dell Computer, reported a 31% rise in third quarter profits to $561m.
Dell employs over 5,000 people in Ireland at plants in Bray, Co Dublin, and in Limerick.
The company said it had also increased its market share, taking back the title of the world's biggest computer maker.
However shares in Dell slipped in after hours trade after its predictions for fourth quarter growth disapointted some analysts.
