SRH cautious on radio recovery

British media group Scottish Radio Holdings, which owns Today FM and a number of local newspaper groups in Ireland, says group revenues are likely to be flat for the year to the end of September.

SRH says radio revenues are down 2%, while press revenues are up 2%. These figures strip out the effect of acquisitions.

The group says it sees the radio figure as a good performance in the current market conditions.

It says radio revenues have been more encouraging recently, but it remains too early to say whether a strong performance in the last quarter is the signal for a more sustained improvement.
