Electronic data storage company, StorageTek today launched an Irish subsidiary in a bid to corner some of Ireland's anticipated growth information technology spending.
Two thirds of 75% of IT budgets are devoted to storage while the amount of data being created has doubled every year since 1995, according to StorageTek Ireland.
Recent statistics suggest IT spending will increase by 11% annually until 2006. StorageTek is based in Blackrock, Co Dublin, with global headquarters in Colorado.
