Rosemary Wilmot of Wilmot Childcare has won the title of Shell LiveWire Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2002. The winner, from Limerick, fought off stiff competition from 14 other young entrepreneurs from all over Ireland.
Wilmot Childcare was established last September and is a purpose built creche with a capacity to cater for 70 children aged from three months to eight years of age.
Noel Marshall of BrickyMarshall Tools took second place in the awards.
Shell LiveWire is supported by the City and County Enterprise Boards, PricewaterhouseCoopers and by Bank of Ireland and its aim is to support youth enterprise.
Last year the overall prize went to Lynda Richards-Stocks from Viking Splash Tours.
