Telecommunications firm Skynet has applied to the telecoms regulator for a telecommunications licence.
Skynet was founded in the UK and has been operating in Ireland since January 2001, supplying fixed line voice services to the SME and corporate market.
The company says its revenues are currently growing at 8-12% per month. It plans to invest another €2m to €3m in the Irish market in the coming year and is also looking into other areas of the telecoms market.
Skynet employs 12 people in Bluebell in Dublin.
