Oracle, one of the biggest names in the global computer software market, has announced plans to increase employment levels at its facility in the East Point Business Park in Dublin by 250 to about 1,200.
The announcement was made today as Taoiseach Bertie Ahern opened Oracle's fourth building in the northside business park.
The new development will house three divisions - Worldwide Product Localisation, the European Development and Technology Centre and Global IT Services - and cost €6.98 million.
Oracle Ireland has a total workforce here of about 975 and handles sales of over $2 billion.
