Industrial production growth slows in April

Industrial production rose by a seasonally adjusted 8.1% in the three months to April compared with the previous three months, according to the Central Statistics Office.

The unadjusted annual increase for April 2001 was 20.8%, following a 27.1% rise in March.

The monthly figure for April showed a 7.5% increase, after a fall of 8.8% in March.
