Web services company Cape Clear Software has completed a $16 million second round of funding. The round included new investments from leading venture capital firms Accel Partners and Greylock.
The company also announced the appointment of Kevin Comolli from Accel Partners and Aneel Bhusri from Greylock to its board of directors.
Cape Clear develops and markets software products that enable companies to make their existing IT systems work together. It also enables those software applications to work over the Internet.
The money raised from the funding gives Cape Clear the resources to take advantage of the market opportunity, according to Cape Clear's Chief Executive Officer David Clarke. 'More importantly it brings the expertise of both Accel Partners and Greylock into our management team,' he added.
Cape Clear Software was established in Dublin in 1999 and currently employs 55 people in Dublin, London and California.
