Travel software company Datalex's net loss widened from $3.8m to $15.1m in the fourth quarter of 2000, though revenues more than doubled to $10.8m compared with the same period a year earlier.
For the year 2000, there was a net loss of $67.8m, compared with $7.7m the previous year, on 155% higher revenues of $33.3m.
The yearly loss figure includes acquisition costs of $21.6m and share compensation costs of $30.7m.
Datalex CEO Neil Wilson says the company is confident of returning to profitability by the end of this year.
Datalex says the increase in revenue reflects strong growth in sales of its e-business applications.
