Irish educational software firm Riverdeep announced today that its second quarter revenues rose to $11.9 million from $2.1 million in the same period the previous year.
In the three months to December 31, Riverdeep said its pre-exceptional adjusted net loss was $7.8 million, from $7.9 million in the previous quarter and compared to a loss of $5.2 million the same time a year ago.
The company was founded in 1995 and is jointly headquartered in Dublin and in Massachusetts.
It also announced today that it would buy Smartstuff Software from US educational products group School Specialty in exchange for 401,055 new American Depository Shares. The addition of Smartstuff was expected to increase the group's annual results, the company said.
