Logica investment to create 90 new Cork jobs

Logica, the global IT solutions company, today opened their new product centre in Cork. The £5 million investment is expected to create up to 90 news jobs in Cork city.

The Cork product centre is a full service operation for Logica's mobile telecoms business - marketing, business development, product development, product testing and customer service.

Logica first entered the Irish market in 1997 with it bought Irish mobile telecoms software company Aldiscon in a £55m acquisition. It now employs 450 staff in Dublin and 50 in Cork. It is expected that a further 90 people will join the Cork facility over the next 18 months. Worldwide, the company employs 10,000 staff in 20 countries.
