Iona technologies has bucked the trend of poor performance in the technology sector, reporting a fourth quarter rise in revenues of 44% to $47.9 million.
Earnings per share were up 84% on last year's figures to 35 cents per share. Total revenues for the year were $153 million, up 45% on 1999 figures.
Iona chief executive Barry Morris said the good results were fueled by the success of the I-portal suite, a network infrastructure product.
Iona also announced that Italian company Lombardia Informatica has chosen the I-portal suite for its new healthcare portal.
