eTel Raises $50m In Venture Capital Deal

eTel, the telecommunications company founded by Sean Melly, has raised $50m in equity with the completion of a venture capital financing deal.

The four investors involved are Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Private Equity, Argus Capital Partners, Greenhill Capital Partners and Intel Capital.

eTel says the funds will be used for its business plan, including the construction of fibre optic networks in Prague, Budapest and Warsaw.
